Candidates are required to take the Food and Beverage Services course offered at UG level if they have completed their 10 +2. On the other hand, to undertake a PG course in the area of Food and Beverage Services, applicants must be graduates. The average fee for a diploma in food and beverage service ranges from INR 50,000 to 1 lakh.


· Post Graduate Diploma in Culinary:


This program offers advanced cooking training and basic management skills for students with culinary backgrounds looking to run, own, or operate a food and beverage company. International students with a culinary or hospitality certificate are invited to apply for this program. In addition to the culinary-focused course, students will also complete two semesters of management level courses. The course fee is INR45,000/- per annum. The length of the course is 1year.


· Associates Degrees in Culinary Arts:


Associate Degrees in Culinary Arts is one of the most common programs among dedicated chef candidates. The Associate in Applied Science-Culinary Arts is based on a 2year program that offers a general educational foundation in mathematics, writing, English, and communication, along with culinary training for students.


· Diploma in Food Production:


Food production is a major hospitality industry department in which candidates can succeed by studying different aspects of food production, such as preparation techniques, cooking methods, kitchen management, food cost control, etc. The chef is the backbone of the food and beverage operation.


The specialist is responsible for preparing food for all specialty restaurants and doing other tasks such as menu decisions, conservation of food quality, supervision of the kitchen, and so on. The Food Processing Diploma is a 1.6-year program followed by 24 weeks of industrial training. Course fees range from INR 2,000 to 7 Lacs.

How long would it take to become a chef?


After the apprenticeship, it typically takes about 2 years to become a chef. It takes another 4-5 years to become a head chef. In around 10-12 years, a chef will become an executive chef.

The average income of a Chef is INR5,14,200 per year (INR 42,850 per month) higher than the average national salary in India. The Chef should expect an annual starting wage of INR2,24,600. The highest wages could be more than INR25,000,000.

For 6 months, students have undergone comprehensive practical training under the guidance of professors who provide them with rigorous learning and best practice in the industry. Grinding the next generation of students to the basic concepts, strategies, and everyday practices that are important for their learning curve. For the next 6 months, students will be on a live industrial training course in the top five-star hotels and restaurants to learn regular work schedules to be maintained as a skilled chef.


18 Months Advance Diploma Professional Course:


This 18 Months Level 3 course has everything required for young amateurs to be turned into culinary professionals.
